Ortho.i® Sprint: Innovative, Disruptive, Loved.

Beyond AI Technology — A Comprehensive Human-Centered Learning Experience.

The edition of the Ortho.i® Sprint, held in Brazil, introduced a pioneering methodology in orthodontic education. Designed as an immersive and personalized learning experience, the Sprint seamlessly integrated nature, technological innovation, and decades of clinical and academic expertise.

Set in a tranquil natural environment and enriched by timeless principles, the program was strategically crafted to deliver high-impact learning within a condensed time frame. The entire structure centered around the participant, every session, activity, and interaction was thoughtfully designed to address the specific needs of the attending professionals. Drawing on over 30 years of experience from Dr. Adriano Araujo, the event delivered outcomes that far exceeded expectations. The feedback from participants was both spontaneous and overwhelmingly positive: “An incredible experience.”, “Far beyond what I anticipated.” , “I loved it all.”, and many more.

So, what made this level of satisfaction possible?

Below, we outline the foundational principles behind the success of the Ortho.i® Sprint.

Personalization as a Strategic Imperative

In today’s era of technological advancement, providing standardized training programs is no longer acceptable. Each healthcare professional brings a unique background, skill set, and expectation to the learning environment. The Ortho.i® Sprint addressed this by implementing a highly customized approach from the outset. Before the course began, participants were individually profiled, enabling instructors to adapt the curriculum to meet their specific needs.

This level of personalization extended beyond academic content to include the overall service experience, from customized wellness activities to individual attention throughout the event. This integration of human-centered design with AI-assisted tools ensured a fluid, responsive, and highly relevant educational experience.

“This sets a new standard for orthodontic training.” Dr Mario Neto

Artificial Intelligence as a Strategic Enabler

Years of exploration into AI applications have led us to a clear conclusion: artificial intelligence is not the  solution, an endpoint, but a tool, a means to an end. At Ortho.i®, we regard AI as a valuable tool that enhances human performance and reduces cognitive load. particularly in high-demand learning scenarios.

During the Sprint, proprietary AI agents were deployed to support participants in real-time. These technologies worked quietly in the background, streamlining tasks and improving the learning flow. The harmony between human intelligence and machine assistance was seamless, nearly imperceptible and served as a benchmark for how AI should be implemented in professional training environments.

“Ortho.i Sprint was a smart way of reconnecting” Dr Anna CR

Nature as a Catalyst for Learning

There is growing global recognition of the benefits of nature-based learning environments. Author Richard Louv, among others, writes about “nature-deficit disorder” and how it affects our physical and emotional well-being, suggesting even just a little exposure to green spaces boosts happiness and attention. The Japanese practice of “forest bathing,” with its research-backed benefits to the mind and body, has been trending around the world.

At Ortho.i®, we believe that placing participants in natural surroundings enhances cognitive flexibility, openness to innovation, and mental clarity. Beyond teaching technical knowledge, our core objective is to support a shift in mindset. An essential prerequisite for adopting new technologies. Immersive experiences in nature remove common workplace distractions, allowing professionals to disconnect from routine and reconnect with purpose. This environment promotes deeper engagement, reflective thinking, and meaningful personal transformation.

“I didn’t realize it was possible to learn about technology and orthodontics like this” Dr Sibeli SD

Embracing the Future: Generative Orthodontics

We are on the threshold of a new era in orthodontics, one we define as Generative Orthodontics. This model goes beyond the digitization of workflows to include the generation of new protocols, process and insights powered by AI.

To support this vision, we established Ortho.i® Robotics, a division dedicated exclusively to developing artificial intelligent systems for orthodontic practices. For Ortho.i-style learning to succeed, trained AI models and smart assistants are essential. Our Sprint depends on the integration of AI models that can anticipate needs and enhance results. This isn’t about technology for its own sake. It’s about giving doctors better tools to deliver better results and live better lives. And our core mission remains unchanged: to deliver tangible value to professionals and patients by leveraging advanced technologies in service of human development.

"It opened my mind in every way and changed how I view orthodontics.” Dr Simone FFS

Wellness, Engagement, and Professional Purpose

Traditional professional events often prioritize technical content at the expense of the overall experience, where doctors count the minutes until they can explore the hotel or local attractions. At Ortho.i® Sprint, we reimagined this balance. Wellness and enjoyment were not peripheral , they were integral components of the methodology.

Activities such as oceanfront breaks, guided meditation, and structured relaxation sessions were intentionally embedded into the program. We recognize that doctors are multifaceted individuals, not just practitioners, but also leaders, partners, and community members. Supporting their well-being is critical to their long-term professional success.

We aim to help orthodontists not only improve clinical outcomes, but also lead healthier, purpose-driven lives. Orthodontics, in our view, is not merely a specialty, it is a lifestyle. Technology, when applied ethically and intelligently, enables us to become more human, not less.

"I now see how orthodontics, AI, purpose and nature are deeply interconnected.” Dr Priscila GS

Moving Forward with Purpose

Receiving enthusiastic and unsolicited feedback from a very qualified experts validates our approach and affirms our belief in the potential of human-centered, tech-enabled education. This is only the beginning. We're still learning, evolving, and refining. But we believe in sharing our ideas openly, because we want to accelerate the ethical and impactful integration of AI into the field.

We’re now expanding our Sprint programs to new countries, new cultures, and new audiences. The era of Generative Orthodontics is here and you, doctors and organizations are more than invited to be a part of it and growth together with us.

The Ortho.i® Sprint is more than a course, it is a movement toward a more integrated, ethical, and forward-looking model of professional development in orthodontics. Let’s work together to accelerate responsible AI adoption and elevate the standards of orthodontic education worldwide.

Sincerely,

Dr Adriano Araujo, PhD
