Ortho.i® SprinT Marks a New Milestone in Global Orthodontic Education.

An innovative Human–AI teaming methodology demonstrates how artificial intelligence, personalized learning, and human purpose can transform the future of orthodontic education.
Imagine a room filled with orthodontists speaking English, Portuguese, Catalan, and Spanish, sometimes simultaneously. Different languages, different cultural backgrounds, different clinical practices, and entirely different expectations. Some participants are clinical highly experienced, while others are just beginning their journey into this new technological era. How can a single educational program deliver a meaningful, personalized, and practical learning experience to everyone in just a few days?
Welcome to Ortho.i® Sprint Europe 2026.
Held in Barcelona, Spain, on October 22–24, this European edition marked a significant milestone for Ortho.i® and demonstrated the potential of a pioneering Human–AI teaming methodology in orthodontic education.
Rather than relying on conventional lectures and standardized teaching methods, the Sprint combined human expertise with specially developed AI agents to create a dynamic, multilingual, and highly personalized learning environment.
For the first time in an Ortho.i® Sprint, some training sessions were conducted entirely by AI agents developed and pre-trained by Prof. Adriano Araujo, PhD, creator of the Ortho.i® Sprint methodology.
These intelligent agents supported multiple orthodontists simultaneously, helping participants navigate individualized learning paths, explore practical applications of generative AI, and design their own AI-powered prototypes and workflows tailored to their clinical practices.
The result was a learning experience in which technology did more than deliver information. AI became an active collaborator in the educational process, while human expertise, creativity, and clinical judgment remained at its center.
Beyond Artificial Intelligence: Developing the Five Intelligences of the Future
What makes Ortho.i® Sprint different is its philosophy: becoming a future-ready orthodontist requires much more than mastering new technologies.
Throughout immersive breakout sessions, collaborative WorkLabs, and activities both inside and outside the traditional classroom, participants explored and developed five interconnected dimensions of professional and personal growth: Human Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence. Strategic Intelligence. Emotional Intelligence. Spiritual Intelligence.
This multidimensional approach challenges orthodontists to rethink not only how they diagnose, treat, and manage their practices, but also how they lead, collaborate, connect with patients, and create meaningful impact in their communities.
Even in an increasingly technology-driven profession, the central message remained clear: It is about empowering humans to become better professionals, leaders, and individuals through AI.
The Sprint's three foundational pillars,Technology, Nature, and Purpose, were integrated throughout the experience, encouraging doctors to reconnect with their values while building more efficient, sustainable, and human-centered practices.
Friday morning began with a special experience: a guided meditation breathwork, cacao and sound session led by Christine Pohn on the rooftop of Blaumeer Yoga Studio, charming boutique yoga studio nestled in the heart of Barcelona’s historic Gothic Quarter. Surrounded by the unique atmosphere of the city and connected with nature, participants enjoyed a much-needed moment to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and restore their mental clarity. This mindful experience perfectly reflected the Ortho.i® Sprint philosophy preparing everyone for a full day of immersive learning, creativity, and collaborative work.
An International Experience That Speaks for Itself
The feedback from the European participants echoed the enthusiasm expressed during previous Ortho.i® Sprint editions across North and South America.
Their testimonials reflected both the educational value and the personal transformation experienced during the program: "A fantastic experience!”, “We feel prepared for a new world." "An incredible experience." "A highly efficient, comprehensive training experience." "A wonderful combination of advanced technology and human values." "An amazing 360-degree experience”.
Beyond the enthusiastic feedback, one of the most meaningful outcomes was seeing orthodontists with different backgrounds and levels of AI fluency leave with greater confidence, new perspectives, and practical strategies they could bring into their businesses.
We extend our warmest congratulations to the outstanding orthodontists who successfully completed Ortho.i® Sprint Europe 2026: Dr. Ágata Carvalho and Dr. Daniela Afonso from Portugal; Dr. Berta Puigdollers and Dr. José Torres from Spain; and Dr. Joyti Vasudev from the United Kingdom.
Their enthusiasm, commitment, and collaborative spirit contributed to making this pioneering international educational experience truly memorable.
A very special thank you goes to our exceptional Sprint Coordinator, Dr. Angélica Iglesias from Barcelona, Spain, whose dedication, professionalism, and remarkable organizational efforts were instrumental in bringing this innovative and historic event to life.
Nearly Three Decades of Experience Behind a New Educational Model
While the successful European edition represents an important achievement, the methodology behind Ortho.i® Sprint did not emerge overnight. Developed by Prof. Adriano Araujo, the program builds upon nearly 30 years of clinical orthodontic experience, two decades of academic education, and years of experimentation with generative artificial intelligence and innovative learning methodologies.
From its earliest editions in Brazil to subsequent programs in North America, Mexico, and now Europe, the Sprint has continuously evolved through collaboration with experienced orthodontists and participants from diverse professional environments. Each international edition offers another opportunity to refine and validate the practical value of an educational philosophy built around radical personalization, active learning, AI collaboration, and human development.
The Next Chapter: Ortho.i® Sprint Brazil
Following the European milestone, we are excited to announce the next edition of Ortho.i® Sprint, scheduled for March 15–17, 2027, in Brazil.
Returning to South America, this edition will introduce a completely new training program, bringing together the latest developments in generative AI, orthodontic innovation, business strategy, and human-centered professional development.
As Ortho.i® continues expanding its educational methodology internationally, our mission remains unchanged: to empower orthodontists to embrace advanced technology without losing what makes their profession truly meaningful, the human connection, the commitment to patients, and the purpose behind their work.
Sincerely,
Ortho.i® We care.
